Our Aroha Twists (Pikorua) represent the strong ever lasting relationship between two people; best friends, whanau members, lovers, mother and pēpe.

Handcrafted individually from ancient 50,000 year old swamp kauri from Te Hiku o te ika (Far North), these taonga are made to last a lifetime.

Approximately 20cm in length, 1 cm wide at top twist, 2.5cm wide at the base, they can be lashed to hang or they can sit on a holder. (see pic)

‘He hono tangata e kore e motu; ka pa he taura waka e motu’.

Unlike a canoe rope, a human bond cannot be severed.
